Mark joined ConferenceDirect in 2016, and has over 20 years of experience in the hotel and hospitality industry, having worked for Starwood, Hilton, InterContinental, and an independent luxury hotel, from boutique properties to convention hotels.

With experience in both hotel sales and operations, Mark is able to look at the sourcing and contracting process from different points of view. During his time in hotel sales, Mark’s clientele included various local, national and international associations and corporations, law firms, federal and international governments, dignitaries and diplomats, non-profits, and social/SMERF customers. Current customers include corporations and associations, with meetings of any size, held both domestically and internationally.

Mark’s favorite part of hotel sales was providing property site tours to prospective clients – preparing and delivering a personalized experience, tailored to the customer’s needs, to ensure a successful partnership. Mark is happy to provide his years of experience to save time and add value to your organization’s meeting planning process from start to finish by finding the right destination, arranging site tours, selecting the best venue, negotiating an optimal contract that provides valuable concessions and minimizes risk, and providing support and resources with the many non-so-small details that can make the difference between a good meeting experience and a great one.

Mark is a graduate of Boston College and resides in suburban Boston with his family. As a hockey parent, most of Mark’s spare time is spent in cold ice rinks throughout Massachusetts, but he also enjoys college sports, traveling, skiing, volleyball, fishing, music and giving back to his community by volunteering at a local homeless shelter and as an active Ambassador for his local Chamber of Commerce.
